Air Conditioning

STEP ONE: Installation

Replacing or installing a new air conditioning unit can be a pricey endeavor. Vantek guarantees competitive pricing, and safe and thorough installation. We work closely with our customers to find a solution that suits their individual needs. Our technicians have the knowledge and skill to install everything from roof-top units, cooling towers and heat pumps, to make up air systems, exhaust fans, and split/multi-zone systems.

STEP TWO: Service

Some common problems with AC systems are: the system not turning on, the air not being cold enough, uneven cooling, water dripping from the unit, and air conditioners making strange sounds. Rest assured that at Vantek, our technicians are prepared to handle all these repairs and more. We can determine the problem, and will even give you solutions over the phone to try out on your own if it’s not an emergency issue.

STEP THREE: Calendared Maintenance

Vantek encourages our customers to consider scheduled maintenance for their HVAC systems. We can provide different levels of maintenance to suit your needs, but the benefits of such maintenance are unquestionable. Some reasons to think about scheduled maintenance include:

  1. Saving energy: During preventative maintenance of your AC system, the technician will check to make sure that your unit is running as efficiently as possible. We will perform testing and adjust controls as needed to ensure the system isn’t wasting energy. Wasted energy translates in to wasted dollars!

  2. Avoiding unnecessary repairs: By addressing issues with your unit on a regular basis, you can prevent a total breakdown in the weeks or months when you need your unit the most. These regular checks can help to extend the life of your unit and keep small, fixable repairs from turning into a costly unit replacement.

  3. Make your investment worthwhile: Regular maintenance includes full filter changes, and cleaning; checking pulleys and belts, lubricating bearings, and making sure the system is running optimally. The less stress put on the system by things like dirty filters, or broken belts, the longer your investment will last.

We are devoted to finding the most efficient, and environmentally-friendly models so that your business can have the top of the line equipment it deserves. Our technicians are proficient in installing all types of refrigeration systems including walk in or reach in coolers and freezers, line coolers, ice machines, wine coolers, keg coolers, prep tables, and display cases.

STEP TWO: Service

Our technicians are trained to repair systems new or old, and are well versed with the current safety regulations regarding refrigerants and controls. We know that each minute your refrigeration system is down, is another potential loss for you and that is why we are available 24/7 to take care of your service needs.

STEP THREE: Calendared Maintenance

It is recommended to schedule regular maintenance for your commercial refrigeration systems to help mitigate some of the more frequent wear and tear issues that these systems undergo. During maintenance, the technician will be able to spot problems with your freezer or cooler that could otherwise be missed. We can provide different levels of maintenance to suit your needs. Maintenance for refrigeration systems include:

  • Cleaning equipment regularly- thorough cleaning can prevent many malfunctions, particularly with fans and coils. Regular cleaning helps your machine to run more efficiently and reduces wear and tear.

  • Looking for malfunctions- thermostats and other parts need to be checked regularly to prevent larger problems from springing up

  • Replacing worn or outdated parts

  • Optimization- refers to the reduction of energy consumption, to keep your costs as low as possible

  • Check for overcrowding and maximize airflow- if the air is not able to freely circulate inside the unit, the unit must work harder to maintain its set temperature, causing unnecessary wear. It is important to check that the air intake and exhaust vents are not blocked, as this also makes the unit to work harder than it needs to. This not only causes an increase in electricity consumption, but can also lead to a premature end to your system.

  • Inspect seals and fix air leaks- check to make sure gaskets are locking the air in, and that doors are properly aligned.

  • Checking the interior lights- lights radiate heat, and if they are not turning off properly, they can upset the temperature inside the unit

  • Disassembling and cleaning the icemakers- unsanitary icemakers are a top health inspection violation

  • And more: Checking refrigerant levels, checking suction line insulation, cleaning the drain lines, checking electrical connections, adjusting controls

Ventilation

STEP ONE: Installation

All buildings need ventilation to remove stale air and moisture and to provide fresh air inside. Pollutants and allergens such as mildew, dust, bacteria, and mold can often sneak in due to poor ventilation. At Vantek, we install, service, and maintain many types of ventilation systems from make-up air units to heat recovery systems and kitchen/commercial exhaust systems. We understand our customer’s individual needs when it comes to installing these types of systems, and will work with you to find the best ventilation solution for your business.

STEP TWO: Service

Ventilation is an integral part of keeping the air inside your business healthy and safe. Some signs you may need to have your ventilation system serviced include: uneven temperature across your facility’s space, unit running more than usual, musty odor in the air, and lower overall indoor air quality. Vantek will provide the service you need- whether that means cleaning or inspection to make sure your system is performing at its peak, replacement of parts, or repairs to keep your existing unit running longer.

STEP THREE: Calendared Maintenance

he ventilation aspect of your HVAC system is just as important as the heating and air conditioning portions, as it helps to purify the air that you, your employees, and customers breathe. That being said, it is easy to see why maintenance of this part of your overall HVAC system is absolutely paramount. Besides the obvious health risks, there is also a real risk of wasted energy from leaky and unsealed ducts, which can tank the efficiency of your investment. Below is a list of some of the services included with Vantek’s regular maintenance of your ventilation system. Please note that maintenance services may differ depending on your current equipment.

  • Checking system operation

  • Checking the alarm system

  • Inspecting the electrical panel and its components

  • Calibrating any sensors

  • Making sure the fans are working properly (including checking bearings, motors, fan blades, fan belts, and pulleys)

  • Checking for blockages in the air pressure sensor tubes
